Helpers at Blagdon

Blagdon Primary School benefits from the caring community of Blagdon Village by way of lots of helpers.

The help we receive from parents, grandparents and the local villagers is invaluable and is much appreciated by staff; it also shows the value they place in children’s learning and our children benefit greatly from this.

People can help in many different ways, including:

  • Sharing skills and interests eg talking about their job, helping with computer activities
  • Listening to children read
  • Accompanying children on educational visits
  • Running or helping to run after school clubs
  • By joining the Blagdon PTA

Regular helpers in school are all checked in line with government guidelines for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.

Local businesses and St. Andrew's Church have built up links with our school and we value their help too. Thank you.
