Reggie Golding has joined us as our official school dog.
Reggie has to go through a lot of training before he can fulfil his duties but is looking forward to working with our children.
A school dog helps us fulfil part of our mental health curriculum. They help to reduce stress and anxiety in children – there are many reports on this available on the web. We will keep you updated with his progress.
Please note there are many risk assessments that are undertaken to ensure Reggie is safe on site and these are being carried out at present. Winford and Churchill Primary have school dogs and Sandford have a visiting dog. You can find out about Churchill’s dog, Bracken, here http://www.churchillprimaryschool.co.uk/bracken-our-school-dog/.
If your child has any allergies or issues/fears regarding dogs, please let us know and we work with you and your child to ensure correct provision is made.
