December 2018: We have been very busy little elves here at Blagdon. National Elf Service Day was good fun. We raised lots of money and this was gratefully received by Bristol Children’s Hospital with Logan presenting the cheque on our behalf.

November 2018: Class 4 visit to Northe Fort for WWII topic.
The leaders at Nothe Fort commented how it was such a pleasure to have a group who were fully involved in the day. Well done Class 4.
November 2018: Class 3 had an amazing visit to Stonehenge earlier this month. Many thanks to the fabulous parent helpers who made the visit possible.
"Our trip to Stonehenge was spectacular because the stones were so big. They moved the stones by a piece of wood and swapped the strong wood over. When the wood rotted, they would get a new piece. I would recommend the stones because they are huge and cool." Daniel
"...my favourite thing was making the fence because we did such amazing team work." Zak
"...my favourite part was being big chief of the boys because I could tell them what to do. I recommend you should go because you can learn a lot of wonderful things about our history." Wendy
"our trip to magnificent Stonehenge was cool and great! My favourite part was going to the outstanding Neolithic houses because there was amazing things to look at. I would recommend visiting massive Stonehenge because the stones are bigger than they look!" Scarlet
"Our trip to Stonehenge was amazing and the best! My favourite bit was going to the museum because I like sketching the pottery. I recommend going to Stonehenge to see for yourself how amazing it all really is." Maisie
Thank you to all the pupils, staff and volunteers who made poppies to contribute to the display in St Andrew’s church. The church are looking to collate around 1400 poppies to create a stunning display to commemorate the centenary Remembrance Day. The children will be walking down to the church to see the display and hopefully spot some of their contributions!

Royal Street Party
The children dressed in red, white and blue and then had a street party in the playground. As part of the celebrations, each child in the school also made a kite and the whole school went onto the cricket field to fly their kites. Below are some photos of the exciting day, which we hope you will enjoy looking at.
