Book Bags should be brought to school every day and left in the red crate in the cloakroom.
The Year 1 children will have two reading books in their folders and if read, these will be changed twice a week, on a Monday and Thursday.
The Reception children will receive one book every Friday to reinforce the sounds learnt in the daily phonics lessons. (This will begin towards the end of Term 1).
When you have heard your child read, please record the title of the book, the page number your child has read up to and a brief comment about how they read in the Reading Diary.
If nothing is recorded in the Reading Diary, it is assumed the child has not read the school books and they will therefore not be changed.
Please ensure the Reading Diary is in your child’s Book Bag every day.
Please ensure all P.E. clothes are named and kept in school for the whole term.
