Here we go....!
The Summer Term is here and the hard work continues.
Firstly, may I take this time to hope you all had a good Easter holiday and to say that it was great to see so many of you at Parents Evening during the first two days back.
As I said on the evenings, your children have worked so hard this year and we go again for one final push before their next adventures into Year 6 and 7.
We have two more weeks before the SATs, so lots of revision will be taking place - this week we went through a few papers in pairs, which helped to familiarise ourselves with the questions and layout but also to explain their answers to others. They have all done this so well over the past week with great enthusiasm.
We have also been able to have an extra PE lesson this week, along with getting out onto the field to complete our planting of the trees surrounding the cricket field. We have also had a visit and presentation from Anna, who works with Spawn To Be Wild, to introduce the eels that we will be keeping in Class 3 for a few weeks before we release them into the lake.
Next week sees us continue with revision of our maths, reading and SPaG knowledge.
Wednesday evening at 5.30, there will be a SATs presentation for parents and children to go through the process of that week.
Thursday afternoon, Year 6 have a presentation from Churchill Academy to help them with their transitions. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and to help ease any fears they may have.
Again, if anyone has any questions about anything, please come and see me :)
Have a good weekend.
Keep Right On!
