Transfer to Secondary School - Year 7 appeals

The range of appeal hearing dates for North Somerset Secondary Schools for on time applicants is between 1 June 2026 and 18 June 2026.

The final date for the receipt of appeals is 10 April 2026. Appeals received after this date cannot be guaranteed to be heard on the same date(s) as on time appeals but will be heard in accordance with the Department of Education’s published School Admission Appeals Code.

Reception Intake Appeals and Transfer to Junior School Appeals

The range of appeal hearing dates for North Somerset Infant, Junior and Primary schools for on time applicants is between 15 June 2026 and 10 July 2026.

The final date for the receipt of appeals is 8 May 2026. Appeals received after this date cannot be guaranteed to be heard on the same date(s) as on time appeals but will be heard in accordance with the Department of Education’s published School Admission Appeals Code.

All the dates are intended (not confirmed) dates and are subject to change.

This timetable only applies to North Somerset Community Schools, Voluntary Controlled Schools and Own Admissions Authority schools that trade with North Somerset Council Democratic Services.

 

North Somerset residents who would like their child to join Blagdon Primary should apply to North Somerset Local Authority via the North Somerset Council Website Admissions pages or call the Admissions Team directly on 01275 884078 or email at admissions@n-somerset.gov.uk.  

Residents outside of North Somerset should apply directly to their Local Authority.

The Governing Body uses the Local Authority's admission criteria. Children with special educational needs are given equal priority to their peers on admission to the School.  However, children with a statement of special educational needs are given higher priority.

In-Year Applications 

If you would like your child to start at Blagdon Primary School and this will not be their first school, you will need to follow the In-Year application process on the North Somerset Admissions pages of their website..
